Just an hour's drive from Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand, is the start of your journey into the Kapiti - Horowhenua region.  

The first town is Paekakariki at the southern tip of the Kapiti Coast. From there travel through the coastal area of Raumati, Paraparaumu, Waikanae and Otaki.
Take a stop or plan your trip and enjoy the native diversity that is Kapiti Island.

Through the Kapiti district you reach the rich land of the Horowhenua. The road options from Levin give you the opportunity to visit closer, smaller communities such as Manakau, Ohau, and Waitarere Beach. Within half and hour of Levin are  Shannon, Tokomaru or Foxton with their unique visitor attractions.
